Traffic congestion under Krishnarajapuram flyover in the morning 07:30Am to 10:30 AM. The situation has worsened these days. Traffic is halted for people moving from hebbal side to Silkboard via ORR. In fact the bridge has caused all the problems. It is a very bad design. One solution is to divert the traffic towards whitefield over the hanging bridge. this will need another flyover connecting Old Madras road and whitefield road. It can be starting near whitefield honda. This flyover defintely eas out the congestion in the mornings. Traffic from Hosur to Kolar can flow through the proposed flyover. Now all these traffic comes under the flyover and adds to the congestion. To conclude, the ultimate solution is to have another flyover connecting old Madras road (Over the railway line) and whitefield road. Please consider this option. Thanks
Excellent planning but i dont see any sense of urgency in the execution of projects. Projects are being executed at snails pace. Why cant the contractor be forced to work on projects 24x7. Can we not give incentives to contractors to finish the work ahead of time? I think, Abide should also concentrate on ensuring transparency in the contracts so that the contractor need not bribe the officials and can use that money in ensuring higher quality. Why cant big players who have a proven track record in infrastructure projects like L&T, Punj Lloyd be awarded critical projects like making the ORR signal free? If Hyderabad can build 11 huge flyovers in 11 months why cant we do it? I think Abide must also focus on ensuring timely completion of projects envisioned and bring in the zeal and enthusiasm in all the agencies involved.
It is just less than 2 years Inner ring road Circle to Gottigere stretch of Bannerghatta Road has been made into a 4 Lane Road. During morning and evening traffic delays are there due to heavy traffic. It will be important to plan in advance how to ease the traffic problem in the next 5 to 10 years. If not it will be very late and pose greater problems.
Chaotic traffic conditions will only induce lot of stress in the citizen’s mind and finally affects mental sanity of the society. This will lead to serious social problems like productivity loss, increased crime rate, accidents etc… This will also affect tourism and investments. Chief Minister should focus more on these issues on a priority and diligently resolve it.
Everyone here is cribbing about traffic .. another problem associated with so many traffic jams is hawkers and beggars. Any junction with signals lasting more than 30 seconds is filled with beggars and hawkers.. you don't need a second look to tell that they are also migrants to this booming city.. Whats more concerning is the way they touch, feel and drag themselves on us and our vehicles .. spreading diseases, dirt and filth. With these kind around i am not sure anyone would ever think of keeping our roads clean .. so the feeling would be like "the roads are already dirty .. and we anyway get dirty when on the road ..so why the hell should we make an effort to keep it clean .." And I am sure there are quite a few who jump signals, drive aggressively to get across signals faster .. or any such just to avoid any contact with them .. guess that adds to the woes too .. there are some who are probably too altruistic .. but they definitely are encouraging this trend .. and unless the government steps in .. this cannot be curbed .. coz many don't understand that they themselves are the reasons for getting more beggars on the streets..
