I would wish to be a volunteer
I would be interested in seeing what specific milestones were met after the first 100 days as targeted in the plan agenda attached above. I would also like to know what targets have been set for delivery by the next 100 days (May 2009). Best, Rakesh
I am, pleased to read high speed path way for traffic clearance as an immediate measure. Here I bring to your notice that the existing roads to be maintained in neat and clean condition which shows the concern for the administration towards its citizens. For example you see fly over of K.R. Puram, towards Banswadi roads approaching Hebbal from Banaswadi ring road dividers are with weed and mud near dividers, what it shows no body is there to look after, after spending crores of public money which reflects poorly on administration. Wish best of luck in your good work.
Best wishes for ABIDE task force in making a Bengaluru a better place to live in. However, utmost importance must be given to the quality of work undertaken by any government department office through contractors. Lot of footpath work was undertaken in Koramangala but the work done was of poor quality; at many places the cement slabs placed over water draining ways already crumbled. And you find many small pipe projections here and there. Finally foot paths are not safe to use even though lot of money was spent on making them better. Hence people start walking on roads in spite of existence of the footpaths. The other thing to be considered as part of civic facilities is to provide approachable toilet facilities to avoid making Bengaluru streets dirty and stinking (see a side of Mangala Kalyanamantapa in 8th block). The toilets are basic necessity of citizens. Many of these must be provided and must be maintained well unlike those present in BDA complex toilets in 3rd Block of Koramangala. There is no point in providing any civic facility without taking responsibility to maintain them well.
Dear all, Happy to see people concerned in updated version of development. Like to congrulate on launching the programme on development. First of all the 'Newspaper' "deccan herald",has not accepted 'Bengaluru', still they are using 'Bangalore' . A responsible paper is not concerned , how can we contribute in the agendas. Please excuse me if made a mistale in quoting in wrong place. I shall get involved myself in my 'Bengaluru' developed for our future generations to come. Thanks & regards
